I went to my buddies JBs_creations and he let me try his Lindsay system. I love it and think I have a new hobby. Now I need to sell every piece of gold or silver I have and maybe one of my Water Metal Detectors to get one of these. I will now back step and start with something more basic until then.

Hello everybody. I am Matt aka WildDigger. I do metal detecting as a hobby but am wanting to get into making some hobo carvings. I have a few friends that do this and it spiked my interests. Now I need to figure out what all is needed to get going. LOL

Here is a cheap beginners coin holder. on mine I cut the pins down so they don't sit too high above the coin and get in the way when carving. http://www.zakjewelrytools.com/products/peg-clamp-holder
Another thing you can use is hot melt glue from a craft store. glue the coin to a piece of broomstick and then put the block of wood in a vise to hold while carving. freeze it when done carving and pop the coin off the wood when done.
